The colourful village with its welcoming pubs, coffee shop and fish shop was used by film director David Puttnam, as a location for his feature film, 'War of the Buttons'.
Across the bay is the picturesque village of Glandore (5 minutes), which is a haven for sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing and fishing.
