'Baane Cottage' is a traditional 3 bedroomed self catering Irish farmhouse, situated in a rural location within a short stroll to the sea. One hours drive from Cork Airport and Ferry Port.

Located a few minutes drive and a short walk from Union Hall, a lovely fishing village with its own harbour. The village is home to a commercial fishing fleet and a fleet of Dragon sailing dinghies. The colourful village with its welcoming pubs, coffee shop and fish shop was used by film director David Puttnam, as a location for his feature film, 'War of the Buttons'.
Across the bay is the picturesque village of Glandore (5 minutes), which is a haven for sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing and fishing. Also within easy reach are, the villages of Leap and Castletownshend, Lough Hyne Nature Reserve, and the Ceim Hill Museum, run by Teresa O'Mahony who practises folk medicine.
Clonakilty (25 minutes away), and Rosscarbery (20 minutes away) have two of the best sandy beaches in the area. Inchydony beach in Clonakilty has a watersports centre which offers kitesurfing, surfing and bodyboarding. Clonakilty's well known golf course, Lisselan, is one of the most challenging and picturesque courses to be played anywhere in the country. Rosscarbery's sandy beach is situated next to an 18-hole pitch and putt.
The cottage is conveniently located for day visits to; Bantry, Glengarriff, Baltimore, Schull, Kinsale, and the Sheeps Head and Beara Peninsulas.
